Stephenson's Foaming Bath Butter or Bath Whip Base, probably best known as the magic ingredient in foaming sugar scrub also has many other uses. It can be used to make shaving soap, face wash, salt scrub, bath frosting and cream soap, shower scrub and shower wash.  

Please note: The guidance from Stephenson's is a maximum of 2% additional added ingredients per 1kg of base. This ingredient will soften and melt at higher temperatures and becomes softer in warmer months, storage out of sunlight is important as is keeping cool. The product on mixing when temperatures are warmer may require some cooling time in order for the product to become suitable for piping. Your assessment for use of this ingredient should take into account temperature and the maximum liquid additions. The Crafters Shop can not be held responsible for failure to store this ingredient correctly or for incorrect manufacture. To make a foaming sugar scrub the base needs to be soft enough to use in a mixer, add sugar, colour and fragrance and mix until it is approximately double the size.

The base can be melted gently to around 58 degrees, Fragrance Oil or Essential oil and colours added and simply pour although if the base is soft enough to mix without melting there is no need to fully melt.

Paraben free and MPG free, this soap is mild enough to use on the face and is almost odour free.


Ingredients:Aqua, Glycerine, Sorbitol, Sodium Cocyl/Lauroyl Isethionate, Disodium Lauryl Sulfosuccinate, Sodium Chloride, Phenoxyethanol, Tetrasodium EDTA.
